Here's how you get the lowest cost.
- Sign up with for RAD Behind-the-Wheel instruction.
- Sign up with a high school counselor for the IDLA online Driver Ed course.
- Pay $75 to IDLA.
- Pay $175 to RAD. Full fee of $275 less $100 discount! RAD can arrange a payment plan to help you.
- The last online course begins 11/5, in 9 days.
- Plan to enroll with your counselor next week, 11/1 to 11/3.
- Get your DMV permit by 11/5.
- This is NOT likely.
- IDLA is in the process of ramping up their price and/or limiting and/or discontinuing their online course in the new year.
- YES! Going online, you save the most.
- Total driver ed cost = Normal price, $350 + cost commuting to class, $25 to $300 depending on where you live! So, a $350 course may actually cost more than $600!
- Do your own math; you'll be amazed to find out that commuting to a class may double your cost!
